Architect, Interior Designer and Designer, Juan Roldán earned his Master Degree in Architecture at the Polytechnic School of Madrid. He also studied Urban Planning and Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL, London).
His practice has been focused on Architecture, Interior Design and Editorial Design. He has been teaching over the last 8 years at different undergraduate and graduate schools over Europe like EPS CEU, Politecnico di Milano and Salamanca University. During the period 2012-2013 he was in charge of the Madrid Think Tank as Director of Communication and coordinator of the MUID (Master of Urban Interior Design),
He works since 2013 as Assistant Professor at the College of Architecture Art and Design College of the American University of Sharjah, where he actually teaches in the Interior Design and Foundation programs.
His research includes several investigations about Drawing (Form Analysis: Drawing as a thinking tool), Interior Design (V40 Residente photographic essays) and Public Realm (22 yards exhibited at the Sharjah Art foundation).
His work has been exhibited and awarded by the Madrid Architect’s Association, Sharjah Art Foundation and recently, one of latest photographic essays on Interior Spaces has been selected to be part of the Ras al-Khaimah Fine Arts Festival 2015.
