Miller is the Sr. Vice President Business Development for Shapoorji Pallonji International headquartered in Dubai and is an architect and urban planner with over 49 years of experience in Business Development, Design Management, and Construction Administration for planning and architectural projects. Shapoorji is a major international Design-Build and Construction organization for the past 149 years, being in the Middle East over 42 years. Miller is an experienced real estate investment planner and has a deep understanding of the issues that drive real estate development and the elements that make it successful, especially for mixed use, hotel (working with most of the international brands), and residential (both luxury and affordable), in the international market.
Prior to joining Shapoorji Pallonji, a major international design-build and construction organization, with an annual turnover of $5.0 B USD, working in India, all of the GCC, Iraq, Algeria, Libya, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, other African countries and Sri Lanka. Miller has been a Regional and Managing Director at Kohn Pedersen Fox, Perkins Eastman, FXFowle, Architects, operating their branch offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha as well as an International Director for Emaar and was the M.D. of Planning And Design Consultants, Ltd. in Prague, Cz. for 12 years.
He is a past President of the American Institute of Architects Continental Europe Chapter, an international Fellows Representative to the College of Fellows, past Chairman of the International Committee Advisory Board of the AIA where he remains on the Board. He is a founder of the AIA’s Middle East Chapter and Fellowship Director and Member of the AIA Regional Board. Mr. Miller has been a member of the MENA Urban Land Institute and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
In addition to MIPIM and Cityscape awards, his developments in Prague have won a ULI award for the Best International Development for 1999, two MIPIM Design Awards, an AIA Design Award, numerous local design awards, and Jean-Louis Solal Awards from ICSC for Retail marketing.
