AIA MIDDLE EAST 3rd ANNUAL CONFERENCE - CALL FOR PAPERS/ AWARDS PROGRAM

AIA Middle East is issuing a Call for Papers to be presented during the “AIA Middle East International Conference”, Day 1, which will take place on November 13, 2015 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This year’s conference theme is “Architecture and Planning Innovation in the Middle East”, focusing on current projects in the Midldle East and how they reflect the condition of the social, economic and political shape of the region.
The AIA conference committee is now accepting abstracts for lectures as part of the above symposium. The conference offers speaker opportunities for 50 min conference presentations (incl. 10 min Questions & Answers).
The event will be designed to cater to the AIA’s mandatory Continuing Education System (CES) for which it offers accreditation in Learning Units (LUs) to AIA registered architects.
Application Date: abstract submission deadline: August 27, 2015
Proposal Form: Please submit an abstract (maximum one page) in English and a related CV and photo
Review Process: Abstracts will be reviewed by the AIA Conference Committee and answered within 10 days of receipt.
Submission: Draft presentation to be received by October 5, 2015

NOTE: Speaker Candidates can propose more than one topic paper, and can propose papers on topics which do not appear here.
AWARDS PROGRAM
In order to encourage excellence in architecture, the Middle East Chapter of the American Institute of Architects conducts its annual Awards Program. Through this program, AIA Middle East seeks to honor works of distinction by its members and bring to public attention outstanding examples of architecture.
Because such recognition not only benefits the architects honored, but also benefits all architects, AIA Middle East strives to optimize the public’s awareness and appreciation for the Awards Program through appropriate public relations efforts.
